SPS Corals
PAGE A
At Reef Corals we are constantly searching for new exotic corals to add to our live coral farming project. When we locate an exotic coral we'd like to add to our farm, most of the time they are only available as a small frag. So, most of our SPS corals (small polyp stony corals) have been grown out from one inch live coral frags into large colonies that we can now offer to you. These coral frags have never been in the ocean, as they came from another coral collectors reef tank. This makes them extremely hearty because they just go from their reef tank to our reef tank. Same goes when you purchase a frag from Reef Corals. No Ocean Involved! This insures that your new live coral frag will be very easy to keep with virtually no acclimation period involved. It also helps that most of our tank raised corals are floated upside down in the shipping bag to almost elliminate abrasion and cushion the trip. In fact, we rarely have a customer say that they lost one of our corals...I can't remember the last time that happend! What we do hear pretty often is, "Your coral was polyped out in the shipping bag when we first removed it from the box!". Now that's a plane ride in first class!
When you purchase a frag from us, we include a complete acclimation instruction sheet in your shipping box. It's not just a paragraph of general knowledge information, but a full page of small size text of several large paragraphs. A wealth of useful info! Besides our tank raised corals, it lists how to properly acclimate the more delicate fish, clams and invertebrates. On the other side of this acclimation sheet, we tell you what to expect when you open your new box of corals, how important it is to mount them immediately, and the two best mounting techniques. Information regarding all the different corals we offer at ReefCorals.com is also included.
Please give us a try...You'll be glad you did!
